Through serendipitous measures, I recently came across a designer in Phnom Penh – an Aussie, actually, who’s eye for color, fabrics and design took my breath away. She and her partner design clothing that fuses traditional Eastern lines with a contemporary Western spin. The looks are classic yet distinct – a little eclectic, and undeniably cool. Her signature pieces – including Nehru sleeveless wrap dresses, paired over a petticoat or pirate pant, are classics and can be worn by everyone. The dip-dye pieces are, well, to die for. The Shibouri silk dresses – chic and a little bit funky. To see the full collections, visit Jasmine Boutique.
